Excerpt from Spa Viewer Reviews Article, 2007 :
Heights Massage & Day Spa is not a salon per se. It’s about excellent services, art and plants- a true collection of life experiences.
The setting, created out of a 1930’s Classic Bungalow at the nearly hidden corner of Lawrence Street and 12th Street, barely even has a sign and it’s guarded by a high Japanese wooden fence. But if you find it the first time and, if you can afford it, you will find it again. It is a world removed, a day spa devoted to simple pleasures, upscale comfort and impeccable service – a bit of an oasis in a fussy hectic city.
Heights Massage & Day Spa still looks very much like someone’s rather wonderful home, as if designed by the love child of Martha Stewart and Ralph Loren: the main waiting room warm and comfortable. The other rooms exude relaxation, with roomy tables for massage, facials and eyelash extensions. The spa, as big as any classic Heights bungalow fronts large comfortable seating at which the only permitted walk-ins are served, for you certainly must have a reservation, even on a Tuesday, to get a treatment.
Word-of-mouth has traveled among the Houston moneyed to pack this spa day after day.
The goal has been to create a haven where people could savor good massage and body treatments with care from the best therapists. "When you lay on our tables, time should stop," Laura Lee, Heights Massage & Day Spa Director insists. "A spa should be a place where people can really relax." As you enter the pleasantly appointment home, all the spaces are designed to make spa-goers feel as though they're in the home of a good friend. The place is not about trend, it's a showcase of lifestyle- the good life, with good taste, good massage, good facials and good service. We want people to feel at home. Most guests relax before and after their therapies outdoors in the lush tropical garden as music of George Skaroulis plays. The Spa has been the Houston stomping ground for insiders keen on knowing quality touch.
Heights Massage doesn't advertise, and there's no signage on the house, which, to daytime passersby on Lawrence Street in the Heights, appears to be nothing more than a well kept and manicured cottage style house. A high Japanese wood fence and lush foliage further mask this semi-secret day spa from the street, but come your appointment time, the doors open to a tranquil healing massage therapies, spa treatments, facials and skincare.

It's something of a ritual for me and my husband Joel, to have a spa break together once a month. We feel a treat is in order after the build up of stress from work and family. We have come to recognize though, that getting massaged and pampered on separately defeated and zeroed out the other's relaxation process. We know now, having different appointments left one of us relaxed while the other was still stressed. We chose to get relaxed simultaneously. We always want a setting where we can catch up on the reasons we fell in love with each other anyway, while enjoying some serious pampering at the same time.
This month, we decided to try Heights Massage & Day Spa, situated in the heart of the Heights. The spa lets city-weary couples trade their tired muscles for a few hours of indulgent serenity.
We were introduced to Yvonne and Susana, who would be looking after us for the day, and managing our treatments. The treatment room built for two, emphasized intimacy over grandeur. 'We are not interested in quantity,' says Spa Director Laura Lee. 'We want to create a natural atmosphere of calm, so there are rarely more than three or four people in the spa at any one time.' We didn't see anyone else on our visit.
Our treatment room overlooked a manicured tropical oasis outside where you can enjoy the peaceful sound of the waterfall. Although not enormous, the cozy rooms are comfortable; the decor is muted and stylish.
Once knitted out in our robes and slippers, we set about the serious business of relaxing. A quick tour of the spa reassured us that we'd chosen well. As spa guests you can use the facilities which include a swimming pool with a grotto hidden behind its waterfall and lovely hot tub.
Relaxing Couples Treatments
A choice of treatments are available and Joel opted for the hydrating facial using organic herbs and flowers from New Zealand, together with warm Manuka honey to nourish and smooth his skin. Manuka honey is well-known for its healing properties and is a powerful antibiotic. Joel loved the smell of the honey, but lamented that it made him want dessert.
I chose the Audio Sensory Signature Massage, an hour of pure luxury. My Sensory massage therapist, named Susana, orchestrated a tailored treatment designed to remove any post-work tensions left in my shoulders. Using her fingers, hands, forearms, elbows, she targeting knots on my body I didn’t even know I had. The combination of music and a delicious cocktail of Swedish, Esalen, Shiastu and Deep Tissue soon had me wishing we booked for an hour and a half.
It's always nice to rest after a treatment. There's a selection at the water bar, so you can just kick back and idle away time while you return to earth most pleasantly.

Finding tranquility off of 11th Street in Houston is as challenging a goal for most urban dwellers as finishing the Boston Marathon. Yet, with tenacity and perseverance, both goals are within the realm of possibility. And I’m happy to announce my success in achieving one out of the two goals. I’ll let you figure out which one.
Which brings me to a little oasis of tranquility: the Heights Massage &Day Spa, a delightful addition to the Heights Business community. Enter the charming walk-up path on the corner of 12th Street and Lawrence and start feeling the layers of city grime melt away. Climb a few stairs and you’re about to temporarily leave the stresses of Houston city life behind. The pleasant waiting area is lined with dark wicker chairs, white cushioned seats while basalt rocks line the corners of the room, complemented by the soft berber carpeting beneath your feet. Lovely Fresh flowers sit on top a table with current magazines and food—what more could you ask? Cucumber slices, Jarlsberg cheese, fancy crackers, munchy granola concoctions, tea, water and even wine (red AND white!) is available. A CD of relaxing music wafts in the air and, if you gaze around you’ll see furniture and mindful accessories imported from around the globe. You’re soon greeted by your therapist who asks you to choose from a selection of music for your massage and then whisks you around a short hallway, lined by various degrees, licenses and achievement awards, into a beautiful peaceful room.
With space at a premium, you change in the treatment room and there your adventure will begin. There’s also a shower in the immaculate bathroom adjoining the treatment area. Laura, whose petite stature belies her ability to wring tension out of a cramped shoulder, is an expert at the Intuitive tailored massage, one of the Heights signature treatments. She used an assortment of oils (including chamomile, geranium, lavender), and balancing to restore equilibrium. Her technique was further assisted by the special heated bodywork table which can be adjusted with relative ease, and gave both of us proper body positioning. Then my arms, neck and head were massaged. I thought perhaps a mistake had been made and I was in for a body facial. But then the real work began.
Another specialist- Krisztina arrived after an hour and a half being kneaded, oiled and softened, and it was time for my pampering facial which was unlike any I’ve experienced. For one thing, there was no bright light shined on my skin, while an esthetician clucked over the size of my pores. That always makes me think I’m being interrogated for a crime, not to mention feeling guilty over not having perfect skin. No bright lights, no magnifying glass! It was perfect.
My face was gently warmed with washcloths, cleansed and the best part—no extractions were performed! No one likes to talk about it, but that is never a pleasant experience. Instead, my face was covered in a healing mask, prepared for my sensitive skin, which was followed by toning sprays. It was possibly the most relaxed facial I’ve ever experienced. Afterwards, I floated to the t’ai chi area, also smartly designed with the sound of the pool’s waterfall and wind chimes lingering in the background. There are chaise lounges for your pleasure, in case you order a spa lunch (the fruit plate was fresh and bountiful), there's also the outdoor bar. It’s impossible to have a bad mood in here and you’re liable to make some friends, too— people are that friendly.
This ultimate spa pedicure was memorable too, starting with a lower leg massage with an invigorating minty scrub paste. It ended with a brief foot ritual. Yes, foot ritual, a mini-reflexology that was wonderful. My feet soaked in a warm milk bath and looked good-to-go by the time the afternoon was up. The only caveat: I had to go back to work.
Even if you are concerned you might be hurting your therapist’s feelings (one of my problems), it’s in everyone’s best interest to mention it diplomatically. Same goes for music being played during a treatment, especially massage, where the point is to get away from stress. If the music selections are not to your liking, speak up. Everyone’s taste runs different. For instance, I learned that when being massaged I prefer nature sounds to classical music, pop singers and Gregorian chants. And if the therapists are savvy, they will quickly adjust your environment. Happily, as soon as I mentioned my difficulty in relaxing because of the music, even though I originally chose it, the therapist quickly left, found a more soothing selection and returned. It was a happy ending all around.
The location has 4 total treatment rooms with two full bathrooms, a hot-tub, pool with a built in cave grotto and a meditation garden. With T’ai Chi, yoga and continuing education massage classes scheduled, the facilities can also be rented out for small venues, parties and events as well.
Heights Massage & Day Spa of today bears scant resemblance to the simple massages that first lured spa goers to the Heights back in the 1990s. Attractions now include an ever-growing list of choice massages, facials, eyelash extensions, body treatments, fine art as well as classes in an array of activities. This is where Heights Massage & Day Spa excels: It’s a first class Day Spa that refuses to rest on its successes and continually expands its offerings.
Spa going arrivals to the facility increased last year, with both loyal repeats and new visitors enjoying fresh attractions inside and out.
The fun continues on the inside with belly dancing classes and Mendhi (henna tattooing) lessons. When the sun goes down there are Tai Chi Lessons on the deck and Wine & Cheese Artist mixers.
Here's a look at what's new at the spa:
Don’t miss the monthly art exhibit in the lobby, featuring colorful works by the artist of the month.
Heights eclectic art scene has a new hot spot, the HM&DS Art Gallery (832-618-1145) in the Heights. With an expanding two-building showroom, the gallery displays modern works by painters, potters and glass blowers from the Americas and neighboring Europe. After a relaxing massage, sip on cucumber water while deciding which piece of artwork to take home.
Testimonials:
This is my favorite spa in town. As soon as you walk into this charming spa you can feel the relaxation begin. The ambiance is perfect, right down to the Votivo handsoap in the water closet, without that "stuffy" feeling which some of the spas that consider themselves the classiest generate. In large part this is because the folks who work there radiate a positive energy that is based on healing rather than impressing. I've gotten massages in lots of spas over the past 15 years, and Adriana, one of the newest masseuses, gives one of the best I've received anywhere. - Jacquelyn, August 18, 2006
I love the lashes!!! My boyfriend noticed almost right away. Everyone loves them and they look so natural! Thanks, Ruth K., Student at University of Houston Architecture, Employed by The American Cancer Society, June 26, 2006
Thank you Laura for the fabulous massage after the Houston Marathon. My hip bothered me all night and I was "hobbling" around, but by morning, it felt normal. WOW! I now know the cure for the deep glute muscles. Thank you again Jennie Minken, Boston Marathoner January 17, 2006
"Now I have the lashes that should have been mine at birth, but the gene fairy gave them to my brother instead! Lash by lash, Laura Lee glues an extention onto my existing lashes to make each look longer naturally. The lashes last as long as a natural lash, but are so long and flirty. What fun to wake in the morning with long, lovely lashes! I love it! Stacy Marshall, Teacher, October 2005
"I often had headaches and problems with my neck. When I was sitting in my vehicle, I needed support for my neck. After just two sessions I felt much better. Laura did what she called a Triggerpoint release on the base of my neck and gave me a few simple exercises and stretches. My neck feels much stronger and headaches are very rare now." Jennifer Ma, Nurse, Galveston, Texas, November, 2005
"I first came to Laura Lee by way of a new & wayward lash curler. I woke up one morning to find that all of my center lashes were gone! At the time, I did not know that the curler was the culprit. My face looked so strange without my lashes and I was very self-conscious about my appearance. My solution was false-eyelashes. While telling my friend about my dilemma, she mentioned a new procedure called lash extension and I was on it.
I did some research on the procedure and decided to go for it.
I came to find Laura at Heights Massage by a search on Citysearch. She had many favorable reviews on both them massage and lash services. When I went to the website, I discovered she had a superb special and I booked my appointment.
Laura determined that the curler was the problem. And, even though Laura had practically nothing to work with, she worked magic and I walked out with a full set of lashes.
I LOVE MY LASHES. It is absolutely amazing the difference the lashes made. I am hooked on them. My bald eyes were transformed. The lashes are long and thick and my eyes appear larger. It is definitely a confidence booster.
Adios to Mascara. The only tool I use is a lash brush.
With the lashes, I walk out of the house with a bit of blush and lip gloss and I am set.
I had told my fiancé that I had lost all of my lashes and was very self-conscious. Of course, being the good guy that he is, he said “hone, I don’t notice any difference”. I started taking pre-natal vitamins hoping that it would make my lashes grow back quickly.
I didn’t tell him that I had lash extensions and he never noticed even though I was batting my eyes at him. HOWEVER, one evening while having drinks with friends, my friend’s husband said “WOW, look at your lashes, I never noticed how long they were…. How pretty!” And, at that point, my fiancé said…. Those pre-natal vitamins are really working! I started cracking up…. but didn’t reveal my secret!
As for Laura, she is a nice and gregarious person who takes her work seriously. The Spa is serene and Zen like and it is easy to zone out during the procedure. Laura is meticulous, professional, and takes pride in her craft. I often find that she will go over the appointment time just to add her finishing touch to make the lashes perfect.
I highly recommend Laura if you are considering Lash Extensions. You will have an eye-opening experience that will leave you “batting” for days!" -Kerry Odem, November 7, 2005
Dear Laura,
Thank you so much for the information, the Lavish Lashes Class was GREAT!
You have gotten me so excited with Lavish Lashes! I'll send pics and I'm sure I will be at your next class.
Thank you!

citysearch.com reviews:
I have been going here for about 6 months now, after a terrible set of experiences at two other day spas in houston.. I'm an eyelash extension junkie and just recently began Endermologie sessions with Laura about 2 months ago.. Since I've been going here people have been complimenting me left and right with 'I don't know what it is about you.. but you just look so fresh and younger lately.." - My secret is the Eyelashes! They shed years off of my face.. I wake up.. wash my face - Add lip gloss.. And I'm done! Laura makes my once short and blonde tiny lashes.. Long, bold and beautiful.. And natural looking! Every so often I get the glamour treatment when I have a special event and I can't help but making eye contact with everyone i meet! I have never felt so pretty.. And hardly anyone can pinpoint the reason.. It's divine. The endermologie is going great too! I was a skeptic at first.. But after a little short of a dozen sessions I've already notice that my skin is incredibly softer, smoother, and my *cough* cellulite *cough* is disappearing! I only wish I would have started sooner for last summer.. I don't know how.. but it works.. And Laura makes it so comfortable.. I feel like we've been friends for YEARS. She's always so funny and just fun to be around.. I feel like I'm going to a friends house to get pampered on everytime I visit Heights Massage! Pamper yourself.. It's beyond worth it.
Licensed Massage Therapy
I have received Licensed Theraputic massages monthly for the past 19 years. It has not only healed alot of physical problems that i’d been having, but become an intregral part of my commitment toward mental/emotional/physical/spiritual health.
I’ve had the really good fortune to work with an incredibly talented LMT, who has become a good friend as well. She was initially able to heal a chronic injury from a car accident from years earlier, and since then has healed and prevented me from having foot surgery, back surgery, knee surgery….as well as corrected my posture, improved my muscle tone & range of motion, and alerted me to potential problems before they became Painful problems. Monthly massage has been an invaluable asset to my overall health.
Over the years, so many people have chided me about it being such an “Indulgence”, a frivolous and expensive waste, especially for someone with my limited income. But i wholly believe in Preventative and Maintaince health care--- and if you added up all my $$$ spent on monthly massages, over say 15 yrs, it’d be around $9000.oo….which is far below what even One of those hospital stay surgeries would have cost!
I think we’d all be healtier, in all ways, if we invested more in this sort of self-care.

A doctor friend of mine suggested I get lymphatic massage to help me with the built up toxins that were probably contributing to my feelings of being blue. He suggested that I go to this location and book specifically with an "Endermologist" named Laura Lee. My doctor friend said that Laura's treatments are more than just going through the paces, that she incorporates so much of her personality into her work and that is what makes the difference between a mediocre session and a great session. He explained that she includes Laugh Therapy into her treatments. When I asked for this treatment when I booked my appointment, Laura didn't quite understand what I meant, so I explained what my friend told me about her. She laughed a knowing laugh and said that although she doesn't normally talk during her regular massage sessions, and there wasn't a specific treatment called Laugh Therapy on her menu, she sometimes adds humor while working on the clients. Clients laugh which helps move the lymph while getting the treatment. I booked a session. When I received my treatment I understood. She makes you feel comfortable, as if you're a long time friend. She is a natural comedienne telling stories of her life that have you howling with tears in your eyes. I feel so much better after each treatment and it's more than just a lymphatic massage. She may not realize it or admit it, but she DOES perform Laugh Therapy and I look forward to each session. I've been a regular client for about seven months now. My husband even says I seem happier and mentioned that I've been smiling more. My friends say I have more patience. I noticed little things don't upset me like they used to and I find myself looking at life a little bit differently now- even laughing out loud over nothing. I feel like I did an hour of cardio- my body and soul a little bit lighter. I think the lymphatic treatments are working for me. See for yourself, call her and ask for the Laugh Therapy. You'll smile.
After a day of working over my computer, my back and shoulders were really tight. I scheduled an appointment and got in with Missy. She did a wonderful job in relaxing the muscles and relieving the tension. The setting was wonderful and intensified the experience. I can't wait to go back!
After driving around looking for this place, the experience was woth waiting. I just went yesterday, 11/11/06, & got a massage from Missy Gentile. Let me tell you...I went in there with a massive pain on my neck. She did contentrate in that particular area, & by the time I got out of there I felt so much better! I didn't think my pain would go away. The only thing I would improve is...a dark room so I can concentrate & no squeaky floor.
Finally found somewhere in Houston to PERM my very long very straight eyelashes. Laura did a great job, very gentle, efficient and pleasant experience. Took maybe 40 mins start to finish and believe me - they look fabulous! Will be back to re curl in 4 weeks. The only very minor negative (and I mean minor!) would be the lack of signage outside but maybe this treasure is hidden just enough?
Being under great stress, I asked for an (unheard-of) hour and a half massage, as well as an hour facial. What a treat! I proved my theory that NO massage is too long -- at least not here. And the facial included a facial massage which really could have been marketed separately as a massage. This was my first trip, and I definitely count on coming back. Now it will be hard to do with LESS THAN an hour and a half massage. Wonderful service, great stress relief.
My name is Keila and I got my eyelashes permed for the first time in my life with Laura. I have never done anything with my eyelashes. I always wore eyeliner. She permed them, and during the process it was so relaxing. never hurt a bit (I had heard from other salons that it hurts and the gel gets in the eyes and burns) Laura was so professional and sweet. She was soo calming and told me exactly what she was doing the entire time. No pain and no burn. I LOVE them. all i wear is mascara now and a little eyeliner on the bottom lash. It has been two weeks and they are still as curly as when I first got them done. and it only cost $60 All my friends are asking where to get it done. Dont go anywhere else but HEIGHTS
If you have not had a facial from YVONNE then you are missing out! Yvonne is VERY knowledgeable and has the BEST TOUCH!! I have had facials EVERY place imaginable and by far she is the BEST!!!!! Not only can she make your skin look radiant but she can also put you to sleep during the facial massage! I saw her for the first time 8 months ago and I won't dare miss my monthly visits with her. On top of such spectacular service the Spa is very casual, yet warm and inviting. If you want to personalized and quality treatment, this is the place! I also need to mention that this incredible Spa also has a hot tub and pool anyone can use!
My husband and I have been coming here for over a year now. We were hooked from day one as we believe we have found a masseuse who definitely knows what she's doing. This isn't your frou-frou massage center. Instead, it's very professional and I feel that I get total undivided attention to my body's needs whenever I visit.
Pros: professional service, cosy and homey settin, personable

I was not happy with my current situation in life and I felt powerless to change it. I needed to feel great desperately. Plus I wanted a new sense of purpose, one which I could believe in. So I randomly searched the internet and stumbled on Heights Massage website (www.heightsmassage.com). It explained the health benefits of massage and also how most other techniques do not fully understand the power of good deep tissue therapeutic massage. So I made an appointment
My endorphin release can only be described as a feeling of total calm and euphoria, it felt like a tide of bliss caressing my aching mind.
More than just the so called “Runners High” experienced by long distance runners; this was a very powerful feeling of total ecstasy… an endorphin rush of a strong concentration.
This is why she's booked daily & I've got a standing appointment once a week.
Pros: emarkable results, unbelievable hands
Cons: none
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
I just got my eyelash extensions done by Laura Lee and they are amazing. It took a while, but they're so well worth the wait. You can't tell the difference between these and my real lashes, that's the best part. I've tried fake lashes and the stinky part about those was they'd start lifting in the middle of an important moment. These are pretty permanent.
I went with two of my other girlfriends. Jackie got her already real and beautiful lashes permed. She threw out her eyelash curler.
My other friend Claudia opted for an eyelash perm plus eyelash & brow tinting w/Reflexology. The price was an amazing $45.00 before tip for all three of the treatments she got.
We already prebooked our next treatment and girls day out in 3 months to do this all over again. It's so much fun and they made us feel so gorgeous!
Pros: Reasonably Priced, Convenient Location, < time spent primping
Cons: Laura is booked often, can't have perm done, with extensions
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
In a word- 'WOW'! When I booked my appointment to have Laura put them on me after seeing them on the local news channel, I was intrigued by all of it. They made mention of having these on for 2 Months, that I could do normal things like swimming, showering, saunas on top of them saying that I wouldn't feel any difference. But to look at me- I feel I don't have to wear make-up anymore! I look at least 20 years younger. I feel like I'm in college again with long lovely natural looking lashes. My sister saw mine and she had to book her appointment too as did her kid, my niece. Our extensionist named Laura gave us each a great deal. She's got such steady hands and great hand/eye coordination. (and tell her Shirley sent you, alright? :))
Pros: Feels so natural, Worth the Price, No mascara needed
Cons: I wasnt born this way, Laura is booked fast!, lashes rub sunglasses
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
A party of four for a special birthday celebration. We were treated very well and the privacy of the spa was a rare luxury. Three of the four were first timers when it came to a spa massage and they are now hooked! Highly recommended!
Pros: atmosphere, outdoor pool
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
Writing a review about Laura Lee's massage is like trying to describe what a cloud feels like. You can feel it yet you can not track it. One hand merges into the next hand. Two hands split, but do they? My mind went numb. I fell asleep. She did her hand dance. Rhythm and Melody all put together to make a Symphony of two people, one giving, the other receiving. Thanks Laura. You are talented beyond words and expectations.
Pros: She works 7 days/wk, A Hard Worker, Family Values
Cons: I can't see her daily, I didn't win lottery, Limits # of her appts
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
This is a gem! Setting is charming, with relaxing atmosphere, laid back, no sales pressure, no phony smiles and marketing gimmicks. Laura is very personnable, but respectful and tactful and she really listens! Her massage is out of this world. It is relaxing, but energizing, you don't feel drained or drowsy. Instead of going home exhausted like a zombie, I actually happily returned to my office (which might sound a bit perverted), feeling really great!! I recommend very highly...

I noticed a very different style to therapist Laura's touch. It took me a while to figure out what made it wonderfully different. Her one hand does most of the work while the other hand is fluttering around "dancing" on my body. When I mentioned this to her, she laughed and said "touche". She told me how one hand is the strong hand- doing all the work, while the other hand is the nice hand- doing all the smoothing out of what the pain the other hand was inflicting. I never noticed any pain. She said it was because the brain couldn't process two different sensations and so is forced into relaxing the muscles. All I know is, she's right and I couldn't keep track of which hand was where. All I know is it put me into a trance.
Pros: Relaxing, Flexible Appts., The Massage
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
I initially made an appt w/Laura & forgot my appt. She was gracious to let me make another one. (sorry Laura!)- so glad I did. She told me to bring in my own music but I decided to let her make the selection. I noticed she could anticipate the tempo of the music, its different changes, nuances and between her wonderful touch (lite in some spots, deep in others) and the blissful music- I was on cloud 9. I made a standing appt every other week to get 'the move' (ask her for this-you'll thank me later).
Pros: forgiving, The "MOVE", competitive pricing
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
I treated mself to almost 2 hours at Mis Laura's place in the Heights for my 48th birthday. Started with a sit in the hot tub with a little good conversation and then a very long relaxing masage including the hot stones.... need I say more. I actually had to relax in the reception area for about 10 minutes before I could head back into the reality of Houston. Only about 10 mins from my office in the Galleria.... I won't wait for another birthday!
Pros: Massage, Hot Stones, Relaxation
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
Where can you find innovative massage and bodywork? Try your own backyard. I did, and I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism, intelligence and client-centric approach of this young woman. I walked in with sciatic pain that two chiropractors could not find relieve- and Laura's healing touch relieved it completely. I'm now a true believer in her ability and know why she's been voted the best in Houston.
Pros: Flexibility w/appts, "Welcome Friend" feel, Non-Rushed Atmosphere
Cons: but she takes Paypal, She's popular
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
I received a massage by Therapist Laura "the pilot". I made the appt. last minute, when I was in pain. Though she already had already booked her daily limit (she insists on giving her best possible massage to each and every guest, so she limits the # of daily appts to just a few), she graciously granted me a spot. Let me tell you, I was in PAIN and she fixed me with just one session that two Dr.'s couldn't get me out of. I'm a believer.
Pros: What energy, What a gifted girl, Great Sense of Humor
Cons: I'm already married, She's too young 4 me
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
Heights Massage is by far the best place I have been to for a day spa. I grew up in NYC and have been to everything from Bliss to Elizabeth Arden. By far Heights Massage is the best for the dollar...I hate to feel ripped off, and when you walk in, you feel like you have left Houston for a tropical island. Laura has the most talented hands and gives the best massage. For reflexology and facials, I love them all! For the first time I have decided to write a review, because I really don't know of a better more relaxing place in this crazy enviroment.
Pros: Friendly and Caring, Unpretentious, Sophisticated
Cons: no receptionist, no signage
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
Like other reviewers, I must add my own two cents about her touch. I agree with every point made so far- intuitive, compassionate, understanding of my needs- I must also include in this review the quality of the location - it's a private get-a-way from the rush of city life. Jacuzzi, pool with cave are the perfect additions to an afternoon of pampering. Bring your own lunch, or she'll order it fresh just for you. Perfect for couples in love, as well.
Pros: Convenient location, Tropical Oasis, Tranquil Rooms
Cons: Addictive, an hour isn't enough
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
Laura's bodywork has me returning for more. She is attentive and yet quiet to allow you to relax without jibber jabber. Her personal attention and stellar service put her on top of the list. Incredible massage. Give her a try, and tell her Mason sent you.
Pros: She's Good, Hot Tub & Pool, Shower & FluffyTowels
Cons: Only In Call, She's Good
Overall user rating: Highly Recommended

Well, they're not totally MINE... but they're bought and paid for! I got eyelash extensions at Heights Massage and Day Spa a few months ago, and I am so loving them! I keep getting compliments on how I have "amazing / gorgeous / awesome / incredible eyelashes" and everybody thinks that I was just blessed with them naturally! That is how good they look; so natural but still so incredible. I don't even feel them on. When Laura puts them on, I am asleep almost the entire time. A friend of mine went to a different place that was a lot cheaper, and hers were so bad she had to have them taken off and and she lost a bunch of her real eyelashes. Mine are as thick as they ever have been, and it is obvious that Laura knows what she is doing. Mine are always completely separate from each other, whereas the bad job my friend got elsewhere were all clumpy and stuck together. Do yourself a favor and just go to the master in the first place. It really is worth it, and she really does an incredible job.
Pros: Comfortable place, the best eyelashes I have seen anywhere
Cons: nothing came to mind

I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend, so I took her for a massage to score some points. Man..did I score some MAJOR points!! Let's just say..she got an awesome massage and when we got home....I got what i wanted!!! She is STILL talking about it! I'm thinking about making it a monthly trip for us. I know my girlfriend could get used to the pampering and I could get use to what kind of mood she's in afterwards! I'd recommend this to all you guys out there!
Pros: Service!!
Cons: None!

A few weeks ago one of my wifes girlfriends gave her a gift certficate for a couples massage at a place I have never heard of in the Heights. I called the next week to schedule and the phone girl was extreamly helpful and told me that this place actually offered a full line of services so I decided to add a facial for my wife to sweeten the package. I was also extreamly surprised to findout they offered a "moon light" couples massage so we arrived about 6:30 on a Friday evening. After the regular "paperwork" my wife and I were shown into a very large comfortable room. They started getting my wife ready for her facial and gave me a robe so I could retire to the outdoor area and enjoy the evening. I enjoyed a cold beverage, was waited on and made to feel very comfortable. About an hour later (after a beautiful sunset in the hot tub and pool alternately) she came out to enjoy the hot tub for about a half hour and then we received the best massages we have ever received, bar none, and I have had massages on 3 continants. After all this I was so relaxed we almost cancled out dinner reservations, but kept them anyway and it was the best Friday night in memory. We want to thank the staff at Heights Massage and my wifes girlfriend Joyce. We will be back!
Pros: Fantastic Hideaway!!
Cons: Hidden away, a bit hard to find but really worth the effort

My husband and I went for our 2 year anniversary on a very stormy day. The rain was pouring down, but seemed to create a great ambience that fit perfectly with the waterfall in the back courtyard and pool area. We felt amazing after our massage and hope to go there again. Thank you for an amazing experience. It was money well spent!
Pros: Go there and you'll see!

Heights Massage is really a special Day Spa. The service is great. I had a massage from Joy, and I went home. I was so relaxed, that I slept all night. My back felt as it was tension free. The spa services are excellent. Marc P.

I took my husband to the Heights for his birthday for a couples massage. The staff made it very comfortable and relaxing. I was even able to add choc. dipped strawberries to our package for an extra treat. Off the beaten trail but very worth while.
Pros: Very Relaxing

I went in for a European Facial and was just expecting a simple and basic facial but instead I got a very tailored and customized treatment. Yvonne was VERY informative and LISTENED to my needs and did wonders to my skin. I even fell asleep during my facial massage! The products she used smelled and felt incredible. At the end she explained everything she did and my skin never looked and felt better ( I have had SEVERAL facials)!!!!! Thank you so much Yvonne for making my "basic" facial extraordinary!

I visited the Heights Massage and had one of the best facials ever with Marcie! I was instantly charmed by the warm and inviting home like atmosphere. I was offered lovely flavored water upon arrival which was wonderful considering this Texas heat. Marcie was very attentive and after reviewing the questionnaire I filled out, she asked me a several questions to make sure my concerns and expectations were addressed. Finally to the best part .. I have had several facials, and this one by far took the cake. She really spent time looking at my skin and gave me practical advice that normal people can really apply. She was very gentle and best of all gave me the best massage. Turns out Marcie is also a masseuse! Next time I go I will definitely be getting a full massage. Lastly, she did not try to push any of the products that she used on me, it was very casual and easy going.
Pros: Service, Facials, Massage
Cons: Maybe hard to find, but it is worth it!

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy: We aim to provide our clients the highest quality service and we pride ourselves on our exceptional staff. If you cancel within less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, we not only loose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have taken your scheduled appointment time. For this reason we are still obligated to compensate our staff for their time as well as make up for our lost revenue.
When we reserve the therapist’s time especially for you, please give us at least 24 hours notice to avoid paying the full value of the service for any cancellations or re-scheduling to a later time or date. If you are moving your appointment earlier and we can accommodate your request there will be no charge. Because we may turn people away for the time we hold for you, the cancellation policy still applies even if you are making the appointment for the same day.
Because spa treatments are reserved for you, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
No-shows and same-day appointment cancellations less than 24 hours will be charged the full value of the treatment reserved, and/or any gift card associated with that appointment will count as services rendered and forfeited. If you are cancelling an appointment that you've also previously rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice - you will be charged full price.
This insures all other guests the opportunity to enjoy our services. A cancellation confirmation number will be given to you as your proof of exactly when your appointment was cancelled or changed.
A cancellation confirmation number will be given to you as your proof of exactly when your appointment was cancelled or changed.
But, we're reasonable. We understand that emergencies "come up." Therefore, we only charge 50% of the services that would have been rendered and only if we cannot find another client to fill your slot. However, if you fail to appear for your appointment without attempting to cancel your appointment beforehand, a full fee is charged to your credit card for missed appointments that are reschedule or canceled less than 24 hours or 48 hours on spa packages. This is why we require a credit card from you to guarantee your reservation.
Gift Certificate or Gift Card Return Policy:
Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates or gift cards, if lost or expired.
Late Arrivals:
