The system we use is composed of six components that work together to do eyelash extension quicker than ever before. It also allows the eyelash extension artist to complete double the lashes in the same amount of time! Because of that, and the fact that the client will get a stronger bond that is cured instantly with this system, eyelash extensions last for the clients much longer then they have in the past.

The system we use allows the eyelash extension artist to double what they have been putting on their clients up until now. It takes all the talent they have painstakingly earned and doubles it!

So what's different about this procedure versus what other lash places already do?
This System was developed by an Eyelash extension artist who was seeking a faster way to do eyelash extensions while also giving the clients superior results that last longer. After all client happiness is the key to our success!

Is everything in this new system safe?
Just like the products currently used, all the components of the system we use are safe as long the eyelash extension artist follows the instructions and practice safety procedures to protect the client. Will some people be sensitive to any of the ingredients in any of the components of your new system?
There are many products used in applying eyelash extensions. The client could possibly be sensitive to any number of the ingredients within any one of those products.

FAQ's:

What can I do before arriving for my appointment?

Please wash your lashes 30 minutes in advance of arriving to the spa. If you think they're clean- wash them again. Be sure they're dry dry dry dry dry and as oil free as possible. If you can't wash them before coming to the spa, then come a half hour early to the spa and you may wash and blow dry them here, but be sure that we don't apply the extensions before it's time. It's up to you to tell us how long it's been since you washed your lashes.

Please arrive without makeup and please do NOT curl your natural lashes. Remember, the clock starts ticking at the time of the appointment - wouldn't you rather pay for extensions than for the time you spend on washing them?

As long as your lashes have been cleaned 30 minutes before your appointment, please arrive on time or a few minutes earlier for all refill appoinments. For new clients, please arrive 15 minutes in advance to fill out our intake form that will ask you questions on your lifestyle as well as asking you questions about the look you are trying to achieve.

Please do not curl your lashes within 24 hours of the extension service. If your lashes are crimped, the lash extensions may not bond properly.

How Do I Take Care of My Eyelash Extensions?

We will provide you with the most up-to-date instructions to take home, on the care of your eyelash extensions prior to even having them applied!

Contrary to popular thought - with this new revolutionary method, you can wash them immediately if you wanted to!

Waiting 24 hours to get them wet is a thing of the past! No more lifestyle scheduling conflicts with the gym.

Follow our step by step guide that we give you for longer lasting lashes.

Do not use oils or oil based products- these are your lash extension's enemy.

Once you expose your extensions to any oil based product for an extended period of time without washing the oil residue off, they're done for and will only go downhill from there. So please don't use any oil based product on your extensions and keep them sebum/oil and debris free by keeping them washed with cleanser from the very beginning.

What is your late arrival policy?

We strive to give you our very best in order to enhance your spa experience with us. We adhere to certain policies to benefit you, our most special guest, and also to benefit our valued therapists.

We want you to receive the full benefits of the session. For example, if you arrive at 2:00 for a 1:30 schedule appointment, and if you leave at 2:30, your refill fee ($100.00) will reflect the time we have reserved for you- starting at 1:30 until the time you leave at 2:30, and not at the time that you arrived late. In other words, in the event you arrive late, the fees will not begin at time time you arrive but at the time your service was scheduled.

Please allow ample time to arrive on time as Houston always has some form of traffic at any time of the day. 

We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled service times and the client will be responsible for full service fees starting at the time of the scheduled session.

Also, look at the single length used.  Very un-natural and not flattering at all.  What a gloppy mess!

You can see how tiny her natural lashes are. Overburdening them with extensions that are clearly too long and heavy could make her natural lashes fall out prematurely.

An open letter to a livejournal poster who asked: Where can I find a place to tint my eyebrows and extend my eyelashes? Preferably somewhere near town and not too expensive :) Anyone tried eyelash extensions? good or bad? Will it look unnatural and will it make your natural eyelashes fall out?

Be aware there are many places that will charge you a cheap rate. Don't get suckered in because of inexpensive fees. It's about education, experience and knowledge. Don't let them damage your lashes by clumping them together. Lashes that are glued/clumped together, fall out together and you end up getting what you didn't want and that is -- making your natural lashes fall out.

Look for someone that at least has been trained by an actual trained extensionist and not a dvd- though this too won't give you a guarantee that they're any good. (Look at my example above)

You should also get your lashes tinted as well, before they apply the extensions. This will help the extensions blend in with your natural lashes, but I digress.

Look for someone who won't attach the extensions down to your skin. You might end up with an allergic reaction. Properly applied lashes won't touch your skin at all. Make sure they use anti-wrinkle gel patches and not scotch tape, painters tape or anything tap- like against your skin (unless it is surgical paper tape) or else it will be painful and go into your eye or pull out your bottom lashes when removing the tape. You won't feel it either because your eyeball doesn't have any nerve endings but your eyes will end up being sore because the tape gets into your eyeball.

The reason why extensions are pricey is because it takes education, talent and experience to do what we do correctly. You wouldn't look for an inexpensive doctor, would you- that hasn't had hands on training or years of practice or successful operations? We use medical forceps for goodness sakes. There is a reason people ask for less-it's because they're STILL PRACTISING.

You shouldn't feel the extensions when you open your eyes. Your eyes shouldn't sting nor feel heavy. If the extensionist just leads you into a room w/out having you fill out any forms or talk to you at length about the extensions RUN.

I speak with my clients for at least half an hour- having them read the "Aftercare" instructions first. This helps lead the client into developing questions for me. The next page is an intake form for tinting. The third asks questions about your health, your habits, what your expectations and the look you are going for - if you want glamorous or conservative lashes, if length or thickness are important to you, perhaps both are equally important. The last pages are notes asks what products you use- a platform for which to talk with you about your lashes.

They should take before and after images of your lashes and after of your extensions. This protects both you and the extensionist. It protects you by showing what you walked in with, if the extensionist should apply them terribly. And it protects the extensionist because when you get these extensions on, you start believing you have always looked that good.

There are a ton more horrible extensionist's out there that learn from a DVD off of ebay than there are those that seek out extensive classes with hands-on training.

Will the terrible extensions look good? Take a look at this next image of TABBING (AKA: Singles or Flares)

Yes, at first glance, they'll look good to the untrained eye.

But take a closer look.

See how there are clumps and flat globs of glue at the hairline?

See how the glue is touching her skin?

After a while, your own natural lashes give up because they are overburdened with lashes and glue.

Then they'll probably start itching and annoying you because they're growing at different rates from one another, so much that you end up pulling them out because they itch.

That won't look good and you'll look worse than when you walked in to get them (see damaged lashes below).

I hope this note doesn't come across in the wrong way. I have your lashes best interest in mind. I'm just very passionate about my work.

People have asked me, "Aren't you afraid of teaching your competition?" The answer to that is a flat out "No".

The reason I have chosen to do so is because I would rather the student competitors know how to do it properly than to have them ruin client's lashes and thus, ruin the industry which I love being part of.

I beg you to find someone who really knows what she/he is doing. Don't just go for someone because they give you a good price.

Even the pricey ones do not necessarily know what they're doing either. I know that isn't any comfort but the best you can do is look at a lot of close up photographs.

I personally have very few people I would recommend. Like I said, applying these to clients lashes is difficult. I only trust perhaps seven to ten people on Earth to apply these on me.

One extensionist I trust is located in Florida, another near Washington DC, the other in Portland, OR, one in Denver, CO (update: actually, she no longer is in Denver, but right here on our staff!!!) and the other four are with me at our spa.

Wow what can I say, Ms. L. is the best in her field!!!! I came to her after having a bad experience with eyelash extensions with someone who just did not know what she was doing. I had very few eyelashes on each eye with the left eye being the worst. I felt I looked like a cancer patient with no hair in that area. When Ms. L first looked at me she was just not sure what she could do, but we had a consult and she decided to try her Lash procedure.
